ND’s Favorite Five BeautyCounter Products: Day Two – Eye Shadows and Gift Palettes

20170218_100051Did you know that BeautyCounter offers a “drop-off” option? Don’t know what that means? Well, it is THE BEST way to take a test run on their safer products right from the comfort of your own home. Here’s how it works! Contact a rep…for instance, my darling friend Brandy Dail with BeautyCounter by Brandy…and she will literally drop off full size products to try for 2-3 days in your own house in your pjs with a glass of wine….however you would like to try them. There’s no pressure and no obligation…even though I am sure you will be hooked! But if you find something you like, Brandy will be happy to answer any questions and help you add any products to your beauty-care regimen. Are you tempted yet??

I chose to have the makeup products dropped off to try. I was wanting a little bit of new color, and I wanted to take them for a test run without any pressure. Well, let me tell you that I had an absolute blast!!

For this post I am concentrating mostly on the the eyeshadows and one palette in particular…the Desert Sunrise Palette. Y’all, it is soooo beautiful! When I first saw it, I was pretty skeptical because I felt like it would really only look pretty on an olive skin tone….I am the exact opposite…pale in comparison! 🙂 But I gave it my best effort.

The Desert Sunrise Palette Includes:
  • Pearl Eyeshadow (illuminating white)
  • Champagne Eyeshadow (illuminating gold)
  • Dove Eyeshadow (dusty lavender)
  • Khaki Eyeshadow (golden olive) — New
  • Bark Eyeshadow (luminous brown) — New
  • Pinot Eyeshadow (luminous eggplant)
  • Tawny Blush (warm peachy tan)
  • Bloom Blush (soft pink)
  • Flamingo Blush (vibrant pink coral)

I used Champagne all over, Dove on my lower lid, Khaki in my creases, Pinot on the outer edges of my lid, and Pearl just under my brow. Then I added their violet eye pencil to line my upper lid only, and ,of course, their mascara!

And then I ran errands. Never, ever, ever have I been stopped so many times telling me how pretty my makeup was. It was such a huge compliment! I will definitely be adding this one to a future order!

Sadly, I just found out this amazing palette has sold out, but I’m told my favorite eye color out of the bunch (the Khaki!!) will probably be available soon! A solid win for me!

Daily, I use the Eyeshadow Duo in the Oyster/Amethyst combination! It has subtle eggplant tones! It is perfect for daily wear, and you can get more depth by layering it. The best part is that it lasts so long! You don’t feel like your makeup has faded by the end of the day! I also love that there is a tutorial on the website to show you different ways to try it! I also plan to add their Slipper/Slate Eyeshadow Duo as it would be an awesome evening palette to try! Let me know which is your favorite??!
